Dear Members:
There is so much going on at The Club this fall that I know you will not want
to miss! We are planning an Oktoberfest Family Night Buffet on Wednesday,
October 10th. Join us for an evening of delicious German food and beers. Mark
your calendars for this year's third Wine and Food Society dinner on October
12th. Be sure and bring your little spooks to The Club on October 24th for our
Little Ghouls and Goblins Halloween Celebration in conjunction with our
Wednesday Night Family Buffet. Make your reservations as soon as possible for
these events!
Take the stress out of Thanksgiving by bringing your family to our lavish
Thanksgiving Buffet!
Also, The Wine and Food Society's trip to the Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood, MS
on December 7th is going to be fabulous! Don't forget to make your reservations

2007 Racquet Club Junior Indoor Championships
September 14 - September 16
The Racquet Club Junior Indoor Championships will crown an Indoor Champion for
every JD group and will be the first move-up tournament of the year for the
juniors in JD. While all the juniors are encouraged to play this event for
match play and tournament experience, only those who have at least a 75%
attendance record and who are available to play all three days of the event
(Friday 3:45 on, Saturday 8:30 am on & Sunday 12:00 on) will be eligible to
move up to a higher JD group. All Main Draw matches will be 2 out of 3 sets
with a super tie break for the 3rd. A modified consolation draw will be played
in all draws, with regular 8-game pro sets for all consolation matches. The
entry fee will be $5.00 per junior plus the regular JD fees for the weekend.
all entries must be received no later than 6:00 pm on tuesday, September 11.
Awards will be given to the winners and finalists in every draw, as well as
consolation win-ners and finalists. The draw will be posted wednesday,
September 12. We will do our best to accommodate any scheduling requests made
before september 11. Please call Coach Jason Michael with any questions at

Summer Camp
This year summer camp was directed by Cheryl Edwards, Margaret
Wellford, Reece Paul, Blair O'Neal, Jonathan Edwards & Gretchen Smith .
They did another outstanding job entertaining, interacting, and teaching the
children. At the conclusion of each session, the campers participated in an
award ceremony. We were amazed at the talent demonstrated by our "Racquet Club
Campers!" Thank you for sending your children to us for the summer. We look
forward to seeing the campers in 2008!

Swim
Team
I am so proud of our swimmers that were so
committed to the 2007 swim team. They swam hard at each weekly meet and
demonstrated great sportsmanship.
There are never words to express my sincere gratitude to the dedicated parents
that commit their time, energy, and love to the swim team.
Thank you for your dedication to the swim program, The Racquet Club, and to the
children. They are the true WINNERS!

Dear Members,
Just a couple of years ago, tennis fans were accustomed to rarely seeing any
matches on television during the summer months. In fact, there were only 20
hours of televised matches during the entire summer. Thanks in large part to
the U.S. Open Series, we now enjoy 200 hours of tennis. Research shows more
people are watching tennis than ever before. I hope you have taken advantage of
watching all the exciting tournament broadcasts this summer. If you are not
currently subscribing to The Tennis Channel, please seriously consider doing so
because they are not only covering the French Open, but in 2008 they will be
broadcasting the Australian Open and Wimbledon as well. Call Comcast at
1-800-266-2278 and speak to a customer service representative.
It has been fun to watch Novak Djokovic play his heart out and most recently to
witness him upset Federer to win the Rogers Cup. Djokovic also became the first
player to beat the world's top three players in the same tournament (Roddick,
Nadal and Federer) since Boris Becker defeated Stich, Sampras and Ivanisevic in
1994. Djokovic has definitely established himself as a U.S. Open contender.
Also, this is a quick reminder to be on the lookout for The Tournament's
television spot that will air during the U.S. Open!
Vacation is over and the kids are back in school. It's never too early to talk
to me about tickets for next year's Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the
Cellular South Cup. Remember - the dates are one week later - February 22
through March 2. The Tournament's greatest asset is you - the fans. Help me
spread the word of our great event by telling your friends. Call me at
