Founded in 1957, The Racquet Club of Memphis is a first-class, privately owned club steeped in history. Located on 12 acres in the center of Memphis and having more than 186,000 square feet of facilities, The Racquet Club provides members with calendar of social activities plus a private place to swim, work out, dine, host events or meetings, enjoy special entertainment and play tennis, racquetball, handball and squash. The Racquet Club of Memphis is the place to hold your next social event. Located in the center of the city, the Racquet Club has been helping people entertain since 1968.

Each February, the club is host to the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships, a 500 level ATP men's professional tennis tournament and the Cellular South Cup, a WTA women's professional tennis tournament. It is the only private club in the world to host a combined professional tennis event. Every July 4th holiday, the Club is also home to the Comcast Firecracker 5k. This is one of the largest 5k races in Memphis and includes a fun after party at the Club.

In 2008, a new ownership group purchased the club and placed an emphasis on delivering superior service in newly renovated facilities to create an exceptional experience for members. Now, members not only enjoy the use and benefits of great facilities, but they walk into a welcoming environment with great personal service.
