IF YOU ARE WITHDRAWING BEFORE THE DEADLINE (June 19th)
Go to the tournament's USTA TennisLink Home Page. Our Tennislink ID # is 704200208. Once on the G18 Clays page, click on the "Register Now" text in red – which is what you had to do when you registered for the event. When you arrive at the next page, click on "WITHDRAW" on the left hand side of the screen. YOU NEED YOUR CONFIRMATION FROM YOUR ORIGINAL REGISTRATION TO WITHDRAW ONLINE. Because your credit card has not been charged prior to the entry deadline, no refund needs to be made. If you cannot locate your confirmation number, contact linkteam@usta.com. /p>
IF YOU ARE WITHDRAWING AFTER THE ENTRY DEADLINE (June 19th) BUT BEFORE THE DRAW IS MADE
Immediately contact Keri Davis via phone at 901.765.4458 AND via email at tennis.office@racquetclubofmemphis.com. WE MUST HAVE A WRITTEN RECORD OF THE WITHDRAWAL VIA EMAIL. Please make sure to email from the same email account listed in your registration. If you withdraw before the draw is made, you are refunded your $95.00 entry fee. However, if a written statement that the withdrawal is for injury, illness, or personal emergency is NOT received by July 20th, the player receives suspension points for withdrawing without a bona fide reason.
IF YOU ARE WITHDRAWING AFTER THE DRAW IS MADE
No refund is given if you withdraw after the draw is made. Immediately contact Keri Davis via phone at 901.765.4458 AND via email at tennis.office@racquetclubofmemphis.com. WE MUST HAVE A WRITTEN RECORD OF THE WITHDRAWAL VIA EMAIL. Please make sure to email from the same email account listed in your registration. Failure to provide a written statement also results in the player receiving suspension points for withdrawing without a bona fide reason.
Replacement of Withdrawing Players Before the Draw is Made.
Prior to the making of the draw, when a withdrawal occurs, that spot is replaced with an alternate as follows:
Sectionally-Endorsed Players: When a player withdr aws who has been accepted into the draw by virtue of her placement on a Sectional Endorsement List, she is replaced by the next highest alternate on her Section’s Endorsement List.
National Championship Selection List Players, Wild Cards, National Open Qualifiers, and National Standings List Players: When a player withdraws who has been accepted into the draw by virtue of her appearance on the National Championship Selection List, her receipt of a Wild Card, as a National Open Qualifier, or as a remaining vacancy from the National Standings List, she is replaced by the next highest alternate on the National Alternate List.
Replacement of Withdrawing Players After the Draw is Made
After the draw is made, all withdrawing players are replaced with the next highest player on the National Alternate List.
The National Alternate List (NAL)
The Alternate List is the numerical list of players that are singles alternates. The National Alternate List includes all singles alternates and National Open Doubles Qualifiers who have not been accepted into the singles event. The NAL is used to replace certain withdrawing players as described above before the draw is made and to replace all withdrawing players after the draw has been made. The order of players on this list is determined by the National Standings List used at the time of selection immediately after the entry deadline. The National Alternate List is posted to the USTA TennisLink Home Page and updated as players withdraw and are replaced. Players accepted into the draw from the Alternate List receive a telephone call from a Tournament Director.
PLEASE NOTE – OFTEN THERE IS LITTLE OR NO MOVEMENT ON THE NAL FOR THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. PLEASE DO NOT CONTINUALLY EMAIL US AND CALL US AND ASK WHY THE LIST HAS NOT BEEN UPDATED. THE LIST IS UPDATED WHEN PLAYERS WITHDRAW. IF NO ONE HAS WITHDRAWN, WE CANNOT UPDATE IT.
