The Racquet Club shares
a distinction with The Peabody and a few others as a center of
attention for the movers and shakers of Memphis - from black-tie galas and
charitable events to political fundraisers and press
conferences. More than 1,000 events held each year in the elegant yet
comfortable Club can be for hundreds or for two, format or fun, business or
social.
In the Walnut Room,
with fireplace and private bar - from an intimate dinner with friends
or a rehearsal dinner to a business meeting or corporate seminar.
In the formal Dining
Room with domed skylight and private alcoves - from the very popular Sunday
Buffet or gourmet club dinner to an important
power lunch or delightful "catching up" with a friend.
In the
English pub, with stained glass windows and Tiffany-style lamps, where daily
food and member activity is great - from vegetable pizza to fresh salmon; from weekend dancing to watching the Super Bowl or Wimbledon
